what’s a good quesadilla maker?

Could anyone recommend a good quesadilla maker? Brand/link/product#? I love quesadillas but the are real hard to make on a frying pan.

I have never had a problem with making them in a pan. Try this method:

First off make sure your using a big enough frying pan. Butter one side of the tortilla and preheat your skillet on medium/medium high. Put your filling on one side of the tortilla and then fold it. Put it on the skillet and press down on the top of the quesadilla with a spatula for a couple seconds. Then wait until the first side browns and flip it over.

There are quesadilla makers in the stores, but I don’t like having lots of single-use appliances cluttering up the kitchen. I make quesadillas in my George Foreman grill that I also use for steaks, hamburgers, chicken breasts and lots of other food. The newer George Foreman grills have removable top and bottom plates that make cleanup easy.

I owned a electric quesidilla maker that was red in color. I did not like it, just another appliance to drag out and clean. I went back to using a non-stick frying pan or a cookie sheet into the oven.

Salton makes a decent one, product code QM5SFRTWB, SALTON SANTE FE QUESADILLA MAKER

Have you tried making them in the oven? It’s a little tricky, but it works

Soften the tortillas over a stovetop burn. Arrange them on a baking sheet and put your filling on one half and cheese on the other half. Cover the pan loosely with foil [you may want to spray the foil with non-stick spray] and bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Remove the pan from the oven and remove the foil. Use a spatula to help fold the cheese side over the filling side. Press lightly and serve immediately.
